Dr. Amy Suppinger was born in Canton, Ohio, but grew up in South Carolina. After graduating from Duke University summa cum laude in 1996, she attended medical school at Emory University. While at Emory, she was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha, the medical honor society, and received the Janet M. Glasgow Memorial Award in 2000 for graduating first in her medical school class.

She then went on to complete her Internal Medicine residency training at the University of Colorado in Denver. Amy came to Franklin in 2003 and began working in private practice with her husband, Jeff Suppinger, M.D. She is a board-certified in Internal Medicine and enjoys treating a wide variety of primary care problems, including high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, and women’s health issues. She enjoys playing piano, playing tennis (poorly), and cooking.
