Spiritual Care Services at Williamson Health

Sometimes feelings of helplessness, anxiety, sadness or fear may affect us when we’re in the hospital. And sometimes you want to celebrate good news or express gratitude.

“This is the best hospital with excellent doctors and nurses."

ROSEMARY B.

Here to celebrate and grieve with you

Whatever you’re experiencing, our Spiritual Care providers offer culturally-sensitive spiritual and emotional support, approaching you and your family with compassionate empathy to meet you in the moment.

Maybe that looks like sharing a conversation. Maybe it’s a prayer or seeking basic practical help. Or maybe it’s providing guidance with end-of-life matters. Spiritual Care providers can also connect patients with area faith-based groups and organizations sharing your beliefs. We can assist you, too, with rituals, such as communion, baptism and sacrament of the sick.

People of all spiritual, humanist, and religious traditions—and no tradition at all—are welcome to request support.

Spiritual Care Services is generally available Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. You can request a visit by asking a member of your health care team (such as your nurse or physician) or by calling 615/435-5430.

No matter what spiritual path you’re on, Spiritual Care Services can be a supportive presence for you and your family during your hospital stay.
