FRANKLIN, Tenn.—The holiday season makes people do some amazing things to brighten the lives of others. For the Holt family, it involved an 1,800 mile journey to Williamson Medical Center!
The Holt family (L-R): Tyson, Jennifer, Jay, Isabella, Shane.
They Holts are from Burley, Idaho. That’s a small city just east of Twin Falls. So why did they come to a place so far away?
Back in 2005, their adopted son, Tyson, was born here. Tyson wanted to come to Franklin to see the facility that brought him into the world. Parents Shane and Jennifer found this to be a wonderful idea. They booked the trip, but wanted to do something extra.
They worked with the Williamson Medical Center Foundation, the fundraising arm of hospital, and studied our Wish List, which shows which items we need the most for the patients of Monroe Carell Jr Children’s Hospital Vanderbilt at Williamson Medical Center.
So Tyson, Jennifer, Shane, and siblings Isabella and Jay made the trip out to Franklin, with gifts in hand. They got to tour the Labor and Delivery area, where Tyson was born, and saw the children’s hospital.Share this Article
