Local family makes, donates ‘care packages’ for parents of young patients
FRANKLIN, Tenn.—When a child is in the hospital, not only is it a trying time for the little one but it’s rough on the parent, too.
A Brentwood family is continuing their tradition of making sure the parents who bring their children to WMC are taking care of themselves while worrying about the kids.
For the third year in a row, Nikki and Jason Lyons put together adult “care packages.” They include necessities like deodorant, toothpaste and brushes, and even coffee! They worked with the Williamson Medical Center Foundation to see which items were the most in-need.
The couple, along with parents Linda and Tom Oakes, of Murfreesboro, dropped off 30 care packages that will no doubt go on to help many other families. Thank you!
Standing behind their care packages are (L-R) Tom Oakes, Nikki Lyons, Jason Lyons. Seated is is Linda Oakes.
