Car seat safety check in Franklin, Subaru Share the Love partnership announced by Williamson Medical Center Foundation, Darrell Waltrip Subaru

FRANKLIN, Tenn.—Did you know that nearly 60% of all car seats are installed incorrectly? That’s according to data from the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration.**

The Williamson Medical Center Foundation and Darrell Waltrip Subaru want to do something about that alarming statistic. That is why they will band together on Saturday, December 9 to host a free car seat safety check at CoolSprings Galleria.

Parents and guardians can pull up to the safety check area, in the parking lot outside of JCPenney, anytime between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m., to let the safety experts on hand examine their car seat set up and make any necessary changes.

The partnership between the Williamson Medical Center Foundation and Darrell Waltrip Subaru extends beyond the car seat safety check. The dealership is once again participating in the 2017 Subaru Share the Love® event and selected the foundation as their hometown charity to be added to the list of organizations that customers can select to receive a Share the Love donation.

The Share the Love event allows Subaru retailers the opportunity to select charities operating in their community to be included in a list of organizations that new owners can select from to receive a $250 donation from Subaru of America, Inc. (SOA). Outside of the Williamson Medical Center Foundation, four national charities could also benefit: ASPCA®, Make-A-Wish®, Meals On Wheels America®, and the National Park Foundation.

“We are excited about partnering with Darrell Waltrip Subaru as their hometown charity of choice,” Leigh Williams, Development Coordinator of the Williamson Medical Center Foundation said, “As our foundation exists to support the programs and services of Williamson Medical Center, we know the results of the Share the Love event will have a big impact on the local community.”

The Share the Love event will run through January 2, 2018.
