FRANKLIN, Tenn. — Williamson Medical Center’s Senior Physician Liaison, Stephanie Clark, has been named Director of Marketing and Business Development. The medical center has a nine-person in-house marketing and business development department that handles all creative, PR, advertising, community outreach and the physician liaison program.

Clark, who started with WMC in 2009, has served in several roles in the marketing department including most recently interim director, a post she has held since September of 2014.

“I am really looking forward to helping this incredible team embark on promoting this medical center during a very exciting year,” Clark said. “We will be opening our children’s hospital this year and our new surgery expansion, so our team is going to be charged with a lot and we are looking forward to getting the word out to Williamson and the surrounding counties about all the amazing things we do here.”

Clark started in 2009 as a community and corporate outreach coordinator where she worked with numerous community groups and corporate partners to not only promote the medical center, but bring a valuable service to those groups. She was then promoted to the physician liaison role, where she was charged with building and sustaining productive relationships with more than 500 physicians. Once a second liaison was added to the marketing department, Clark was promoted to senior liaison.

“Based on Stephanie’s work in marketing outreach and the development of the WMC Physician Liaison program, Stephanie brings a great deal of knowledge and experience to her new role,” said WMC Chief Operating Officer Julie Miller. “Along with the creative marketing team, it will be exciting to see a different approach to promoting WMC to our employees, in the Williamson County community, and surrounding service areas.”

Williamson Medical Center, a 185-bed hospital fully accredited by The Joint Commission, provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care including emergency services, with credentialed physicians in 53 specialties and sub-specialties. The community-focused hospital offers a wide range of wellness services, screenings and classes and in the summer of 2015 will open the doors to Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital Vanderbilt at Williamson Medical Center.
