Your Giving In Action
When you make a donation to the Williamson Medical Center Foundation, we realize you may have a specific area that you would like your gift to benefit specifically. We understand that and have set up multiple funds that receive money from our generous donors. Feel free to specify an area when you make a donation, or we will apply the funds to the area of greatest need. Thank you in advance for considering our foundation.
Funds:
Area of Greatest Need
Your donations with no designation provide the means for your Foundation to support areas of greatest need within Williamson Medical Center, whether it be through funding of certification programs for staff or other determined needs.
Children’s Hospital Fund
Includes inpatient and emergency care for the children of our community. Recently, donations have made it possible for your Williamson Medical Center Foundation to purchase sensory items to be used by the Child Life Specialist. Also, rocking chairs have been purchased for the inpatient floor!
Breast Health Center Fund
Donations assist in providing personal, coordinated, one-stop care for patients fighting breast cancer. Every year, your giving to the Foundation for this fund makes it possible to provide wigs to patients undergoing treatment, an educational handbook for the patient and the family, and a chemo kit, full of comforting items for the patient. Through donations, your Foundation also makes it possible for the nurses and additional staff in the Breast Health Center to remain current in all areas of certification.
OB/NICU Fund
More than 1,800 babies were born in the last year at Williamson Medical Center! Many of these babies have experienced benefits from your giving. Donations have made it possible for your Foundation to provide new fetal monitors and warmers for the NICU beds.
Cardiac Fund
These donations support a comprehensive heart program from intervention to Cardiac Rehab. Your Foundation donations have made it possible to purchase necessary items, such as treadmills, to assist in equipping Cardiac Rehab.
Palliative Care Fund
In the last two years, Williamson Medical Center has begun to provide this new program to help patients and families prepare for end of life with compassionate comprehensive services. Your giving will allow for purchases of necessary materials, such as books and pamphlets to assist families in this difficult time.
Bone and Joint Institute of Tennessee Fund
Funds directed to the Bone and Joint Institute can be designated for numerous efforts, including scholarships for students in our community and support for charitable organizations in Middle Tennessee that sustain the values of the Bone and Joint Institute of Tennessee.
We Care Fund
This fund provides necessary items for new mothers to care for their newborn. Your donations will purchase items such as diapers, formula, basic clothing, and a bed/pack and play.
Scholarship Fund
Each year scholarships are awarded to Williamson County students pursuing degrees in the medical field. The Fay Porter Scholarship supports high school and undergraduate school students, while the Ike Brown Scholarship provides assistance to a graduate student in medical school. The Kim McMurray Scholarship is awarded to a nursing student whose life has been impacted by a family member who has battled breast cancer. In 2016, your Williamson Medical Center Foundation awarded more than $22,000 in scholarships to Williamson County students.
One of the most important threads in the fabric of a community is quality healthcare. Through your generous gifts, we are able to provide the highest quality and most advanced care to the families of Williamson County and surrounding areas.
