Blood Assurance: Blood drive donors helped save 168 lives

FRANKLIN, Tenn.—In late January, Williamson Medical Center held a blood drive in partnership with organizers Blood Assurance. These drives are always great community events, but Blood Assurance says this one—our first of 2018—was extra special, thanks to the donors.

In all, Blood Assurance says some 168 lives can be saved with the donations they received that day! What’s more is that Blood Assurance is a Tennessee-based organization. They keep all blood donated through them within the region.

According to the organizers, 57 people came out to help their neighbors on this day. Of those prospective donors, 54 Whole Blood donations were collected.
