Kenneth Dodge, M.D. Joins Williamson Medical Group
Well-known family medicine practitioner to anchor new WMG location on Downs Blvd.
FRANKLIN, Tenn. — Kenneth Dodge, M.D., has been seeing patients in and around Franklin for more than 30 years from his former location on W. Main Street. But Dodge and his staff have embarked on a move to a brand new space and are operating under a brand new name.
Dodge reopened his practice as Williamson Medical Group on May 4, in his new space at 1950 Downs Blvd. at the intersection of Downs and Highway 96, just behind the Walgreens.
Although the name and space are new, Dodge says he will continue to practice medicine the way his patients are used to.
“I started in the building on Main Street working with Dr. Willoughby and he always said if you just take care of people, you’ll never have to worry about having enough patients. He was right on,” Dodge said. “I really want to have the imprint on this location that says we are about caring. We tend to spoil our patients. That’s just who we are.”
In addition to new office space, Dodge’s office will also make the switch to electronic medical records and will offer patient portal access, online bill pay, better accessibility, state-of-the-art new equipment and an automated appointment reminder system.
The office will also house an outpatient lab that will be able to do blood draws and most lab testing services for anyone convenient to this location.
“To be able to add a physician the caliber of Kenneth Dodge to our Williamson Medical Group family is very exciting,” said Tim Burton, associate administrator for operations at Williamson Medical Center. “We have known for a while that the west side of Williamson County would be a wonderful location for a physician practice that also offered outpatient lab services, so we are happy to say the doors are finally open.”
The newest WMG office will also eventually house an additional provider expected to be named later this year.
“The opportunity to make a difference on my side of town on a little broader scale is exciting,” Dodge said.
Dodge’s office hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. His office can be reached by calling 615-794-8412. For more information about Dr. Dodge and the other Williamson Medical Group providers, visit www.williamsonmedicalgroup.com.
