Mammography and Breast Health imaging
With The Turner-Dugas Breast Health Center at Williamson Medical Center adjacent to our Outpatient Imaging Center, we can provide imaging and physician consult on the same day providing convenience and rapid result turnaround time. Patients with abnormal test results have the opportunity to be seen quickly to minimize the anxiety associated with awaiting test results and we perform breast biopsies on site. We have also updated our physician order forms to allow follow-up imaging when indicated to include a breast health consultation, which has been very helpful in coordinating breast care and keeping the patients primary care team informed of their progress.
We have a certified breast health navigator who can help coordinate follow-up appointments and additional services as needed. The patient has someone they can call for questions, support, additional resource information, or when general help is needed.
Full Spectrum of Imaging Services
In addition to our amazing breast imaging technology, we recently invested in the latest generation of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), providing a new 3.0 Tesla, wide bore MRI offering double the strength of the typical MRI, which results in exceptional detail in imaging and faster scan times. The 3.0T MRI is now the gold standard for many forms of diagnostic imaging to include Breast MRI. So if your physician orders any of the above, ask to be seen at one of Williamson Medical Center’s three imaging locations.
