By adding new, state-of-the-art operating rooms and upgrading our previously existing ones, not only will our surgeons be more equipped with the technology they need to perform better and more efficiently, we will also be able to accommodate more early morning surgeries—or what we in the industry like to refer to as “first cases.”
What this means is that we may be able to schedule your surgery earlier in the day so that you won’t have to go as long without eating or drinking. This bit of news may be especially welcoming if you’re scheduling a same-day surgery, such as gall bladder removal or an appendectomy.
